UniCentral is located on the boundary of the University of the Sunshine Coast campus. UniCentral truly is - the closest student accommodation to the University of the Sunshine Coast.
A security gate leads directly onto the footpath that connects UniCentral accommodation with the campus. The path, floodlit by night for security and safety, is also home to Australian native flora and fauna. As students take the five-minute stroll to their University lectures; kangaroos and other wildlife can be seen grazing on the University grounds.
UniCentral is located in Sippy Downs - a fully self-sufficient suburb of the Sunshine Coast. Amenities include supermarkets, fast food outlets, medical centres, pharmacy, hairdressing and a tavern. Lakes and parkland areas provide a green relief in this residential development. Lots of walking, running tracks and outdoor circuit training facilities exist for those concerned with about staying fit. It’s a safe neighbourhood where its o.k. to take peaceful walks, or to training in the park areas in our immediate neighbourhood.
UniCentral is a 10 minute drive to the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast including Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, Maroochydore and Kawana. Beachfront shopping, dining 'al fresco' - beautiful shops, gift stores, cafes, restaurants and clubs makes for an interesting mix of people enjoying a casual and relaxed recreational environment.
Buses leave for the coastal strip every half hour from the University Campus. Taxi services are also available.
Located a 15-minute drive from UniCentral, is the principle activity centre of Maroochydore, home to numerous department stores, shops, cafes, restaurants and cinema.
There are many sporting venues and fun parks on the Sunshine Coast, including the world famous Australia Zoo, The Big Kart track and Aussie World. All are within a short drive of UniCentral.
